The Abu Bakr Islamic Center is a registered charity that serves the islamic and educational needs of the community. We aim to promote unity through the development and implementation of programs and activities to inspire the wellbeing of the greater community. Abu Bakr is guided by the principles and values of Islam. We welcome all members within and outside the community regardless of their faith and background.
The Iqra Academy is committed to providing quality Islamic education according to the Quran and the Sunnah of our Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him) to students of all levels.
Students will learn to recognize the Arabic alphabets first and then how to join and connect to make words and sentences, eventually leading the way to the proper recitation of the Quran.
The aim is to teach children to read and recite the Quran with ease and proper Tajweed.
For students who are at an advanced level, the instructor will spend time with them to perfect their Quranic recitation and pronunciation.
